Due to an exciting period of transition and growth. The Employment Group Ltd are opening a new office in Milton Keynes. We are now recruiting to expand our current team and are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our extremely professional and friendly team.
We are looking to discuss this opportunity with experienced BDM’s who are looking for a new challenge. We want to provide you with the opportunity to apply your skills and experience with a company that is focused on your support and development and has a genuine growth oriented strategic plan.
As a business, we have over 50 years of experience within the recruitment industry. We have developed business relationships with a vast range of clients across the UK and are currently looking for Recruitment Consultants to support our new Milton Keynes office and help build, manage and develop these relationships.

This is an exciting role and will suit an ambitious and driven individual. You will be an adaptive learner with strong negotiating skills and the ability to quickly apply your understanding and take charge of the sales development requirements.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
- Being actively involved in sourcing new sales generation, building relationships, and generating potential opportunities to develop sales
- Setting and delivering successful sales strategies
- Establishing, monitoring and analysing sales targets
- Developing the product portfolio against current market trends
- Managing and supporting the existing sales processes to ensure continued success
- Researching market trends and competitor activity
- Representing the company at national trade shows and events
- Working with the Marketing team to build brand awareness, identify opportunities and measure results
- Attend management meetings and contribute to overall business development and growth
- To support a sales orientated culture within the business
- To devise and deliver regular sales-based events encompassing the whole team
Requirements of the Business Development Manager:
- A high standard of business and commercial acumen
- Time served experience within the recruitment industry
- Ability to present well, deliver results, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively
- In-depth knowledge of the recruitment industry and its current events
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional client liaison and relationship management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good mannered, respectful to all and committed to working as part of the team
- Strong IT and reporting skills
- Be honest, show integrity and be inquisitiveness
- Understand the value of reputation
- Promote a positive growth orientated attitude
Please note: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
This role will suit an experienced Business Development / Sales Manager who is looking to secure the next step in their career.
In return, the business will offer a fantastic benefits package inclusive of a strong basic pay structure – Initially up to 36k per annum, sales incentive bonus scheme based on performance and results and a company pension scheme.
The offer:
Salary - Up to £36k basic + Performance commission package
1st year OTE - £50k+ pa
Location - Milton Keynes
Note: - Salary and package are fully negotiable to secure the right candidate
