Job Description:
We’re proud to be working in partnership with a respected food logistics business in Banbury and are now recruiting for a Team Leader to join their warehouse operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership qualities and hands-on experience in fast-paced environments to step into a role that offers real responsibility and progression.
As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring that warehouse activities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for coordinating a team of operatives, leading by example, and maintaining a strong focus on performance, accuracy, and health and safety standards. This is a hands-on position, so you’ll be actively involved in warehouse duties while also overseeing shift progress, providing training and guidance, and ensuring productivity targets are consistently met.
Your key focus will be on supporting the team to meet picking, packing, loading, and dispatch targets, resolving issues on the floor, and working closely with management to report performance and drive continuous improvement. You’ll be expected to uphold company standards and create a positive, collaborative working environment.

Your responsibilities as a Team Leader include:
- Lead and support a team of warehouse operatives to ensure daily targets and KPIs are achieved.
- Oversee all warehouse operations including picking, packing, loading, and dispatch.
- Monitor team performance and provide on-the-job training, coaching, and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
- Coordinate shift handovers and communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Assist with workforce planning, including break scheduling and task allocation.
- Maintain accurate records and support inventory control processes.
The requirements as a Team Leader include:
- Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Comfortable working in a chilled environment where raw meat is handled
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes, including order fulfilment, goods-in/out, and stock control.
- Confident in leading by example and motivating a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and team support.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Shift Times:
Monday - Friday [06:00 - 15:30]
PAY RATES:
This role is paying £13.50 per hour
Start Dates / Induction Process:
Immediate starts available. Inductions taking place including site tours and teaching you process and procedures of the company and workload.
