Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Forklift Drivers to join a thriving and expanding business in Banbury, specialising in high-quality outdoor storage solutions, furnishings, and garden accessories. As part of the night shift team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of materials throughout the production and warehouse areas.

As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for the safe operation of forklifts to transport goods across the site, support production processes, and manage stock in the warehouse. You will handle the loading and unloading of deliveries, move materials to designated areas, and ensure products are stored accurately and efficiently. Keeping safety, organisation, and cleanliness at the forefront of all activities, you will work closely with the warehouse and production teams to maintain productivity on the night shift.

Your responsibilities as a Forklift Driver include:

  • Safely operate forklifts to move and transport materials within the warehouse and production areas, ensuring smooth workflow and preventing damage.
  • Efficiently load and unload deliveries from trucks, ensuring correct handling and placement of goods while maintaining accuracy of shipments.
  • Move raw materials and finished products between storage and production areas, ensuring timely availability of materials for manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with inventory control by properly organising, labelling, and storing products, conducting stock checks, and reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure materials are delivered to the right locations at the right time to keep production running smoothly.
  • Perform daily checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition and report any maintenance issues for timely repair.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, using appropriate PPE and adhering to safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.

The requirements as a Forklift Driver include:

  • A valid and up-to-date forklift operator certification (Counterbalance and/or Reach truck licences preferred).
  • Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards, particularly regarding forklift operations and handling of materials.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and operating machinery for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and report any issues or concerns.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate handling of stock, safe operations, and completion of necessary paperwork or inventory records.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and assist in various warehouse duties as needed to meet targets and production deadlines.

Shift Times:

19:00 - 07:00

3 Days per week

PAY RATES:

£13.74 per hour

Start Dates / Induction Process:

Immediate starts with training provided where required.
