Job Description:
The Employment Group is pleased to partner with a leading plastic injection moulding specialist, based in Brackley, to recruit Machine Operatives for their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking manufacturing business that supplies high-quality components to multiple industries including automotive, health and beauty, medical devices, and engineering.
As a Machine Operative, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, operating advanced machinery to produce precision-engineered plastic parts. This position offers the chance to develop valuable technical skills, with full training provided. Your work will directly contribute to the production of high-quality components that meet the company’s strict customer specifications and industry standards.

Your responsibilities as a Machine Operative include:
- Set up, operate, and monitor injection moulding machines to produce plastic components to specified dimensions and tolerances
- Perform regular machine checks to ensure smooth, continuous operation and minimise downtime
- Adjust machine settings, such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time, to meet production requirements
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform minor repairs or adjustments to ensure machines are running efficiently
- Conduct visual inspections of products at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality standards
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to perform checks and verify the accuracy of components
- Report any product defects, quality issues, or machine faults to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly
The requirements as a Machine Operative include:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (injection moulding experience is a plus).
- Ability to operate and monitor production machinery effectively.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for machines.
- Familiarity with basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) for quality checks.
- High attention to detail for identifying defects and ensuring product quality.
- Comfortable with manual handling and lifting materials when needed.
- Problem-solving skills to resolve machine issues quickly and minimize downtime.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Shift Times:
EARLY (Mon - FRI [06:00 - 14:00])
LATE (Mon - Thur [14:00 - 22:00] Fri [11:30 - 19:30])
ROTATING SHIFTS
PAY RATES:
This role is paying £12.46 per hour
Start Dates / Induction Process:
Immediate starts available. Inductions taking place including site tours and teaching you process and procedures of the company and workload.
