Job Description for a Removal Porter:

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and physically fit Removal Porter to support our client's team. In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of the moving process, from carefully packing and wrapping fragile items to loading and unloading trucks. You’ll be working closely with clients, ensuring that their belongings are handled with care and respect. Strong communication skills are a must, as you’ll be representing the company on-site. You’ll also need to be proactive, efficient, and able to adapt to varying workloads while maintaining high standards of safety and service.

Job Description for a Removal Driver:

Our client is looking for a professional and reliable Removal Driver to join their team. In this position, you will be responsible for safely driving the company’s vehicles to transport household and commercial items to new locations. However, driving is not the sole focus of the role—you will also be actively involved in the physical removals process, assisting with loading and unloading to ensure a smooth and efficient move.

The role requires careful handling of goods, ensuring the safety of each item throughout the move. As part of the team, you will provide exceptional customer service, maintaining positive client relationships and handling any issues that may arise. A clean driving record and previous experience with larger vehicles are essential, along with a willingness to work as part of a hands-on team. Your responsibilities as a Removal Porter and Removal Driver include:

• Assist with the safe packing, loading, and unloading of household and commercial items.
• Handle furniture and fragile items with care to prevent damage.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude on-site.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure smooth, stress-free moves.
• Follow health and safety procedures to minimize risks during removals.
• For drivers: Operate company vehicles when required and assist with removals when not driving.

The requirements as a Removal Porter and Removal Driver include:

• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive and customer-focused attitude.
• Valid UK driving license (for drivers, ideally with experience driving larger vehicles).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts.
• Previous removals or logistics experience is beneficial but not essential.

Shift Times:

This role is working Monday - Friday with 07:30am starts. Shifts will range from 8-10 hours.

PAY RATES:

Removal Porter - £13.00 per hour

Removal Driver - £14.00 per hour

Start Dates / Induction Process:

Upon completion of your application, you will receive full training on company processes and procedures to ensure you are fully prepared for your role. This will include guidance on health and safety, correct manual handling techniques, customer service expectations, and best practices for packing, loading, and transportation. Once training is complete, you will be fully inducted into the team and ready to begin work, supported by experienced colleagues who will help you settle into your new role.
