The client:

Our client, a leading company in the food industry, is seeking a Night Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and manage our night shift operations in Bicester. As a Night Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse during nighttime hours.

The role:

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of all activities during the night shift, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.

• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and quality control measures.

• Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and support. Delegate tasks effectively, manage workload distribution, and promote a positive work culture.

• Order Fulfilment: Coordinate order picking and packing processes to meet customer requirements. Ensure accuracy in order fulfilment, minimise errors, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and reconcile any discrepancies. Implement effective inventory management strategies to optimise stock rotation, minimise waste, and prevent stockouts.

• Safety and Compliance: Enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. Comply with relevant regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to procedures.

• Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication channels with other departments, such as procurement, transportation, and customer service, to streamline workflows and resolve any operational issues.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a warehouse environment.

• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional weekends.
