Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our client's logistics team. In this role, you will be integral to the smooth operation of the warehouse, ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of their beautifully designed jewellery products. Working in a modern environment, you will uphold high standards of quality and accuracy while handling goods with care.

As a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include managing the flow of products from arrival to dispatch. You will actively participate in stock checks and maintain the integrity of inventory records. Collaborating closely with the warehouse management team, you will help optimise processes, implement best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Your attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures will be crucial in maintaining operational efficiency. Additionally, you will work effectively with other departments, such as customer service and sales, to ensure timely order fulfilment and resolve any inventory or dispatch-related issues.

Your responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative include:

  • Accept incoming deliveries, checking for accuracy, quality, and condition of goods. Report any discrepancies or damage to the warehouse manager.
  • Accurately pick items from inventory, pack them securely for dispatch, and ensure proper labelling for shipping.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular stock checks, and assist in organising the warehouse layout to optimise storage and accessibility.
  • Use warehouse management systems to process incoming and outgoing orders efficiently, ensuring timely dispatch to customers.
  • Process returned items, inspect them for quality, and ensure they are restocked appropriately.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment and proper handling of products.

The requirements as a Warehouse Operative include:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Strong focus on accuracy when picking and packing orders, with an emphasis on quality control.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems or the ability to learn quickly, including basic data entry for inventory management.
  • Willingness to take on various tasks and adjust to changing priorities as needed, especially during busy periods.
